  Join the Masters and Board as we toast a new season and stock the bar in style at Jim Daniel's home, Somerset, on the river. You will enjoy your favorite beverage, roasted oysters, and live music on the river as you catch up with friends. Your ticket is a bottle or more donation for the PAH bar which you and your guests will enjoy at selected stirrup cups, tailgates and parties throughout the hunt season.

  ~ This is what is needed! ~

  40 bottles of champagne (lots of champagne!)

  20 bottles of port (tawny suggested)

  4 bottles of Vodka (Titos, Grey Goose or equivalent)

  12 bottles of Bourbon (Woodford, Makers Mark, Bulleits appreciated)

  2 bottles of Gin (Bombay, etc.) 

  2 bottles of Scotch

  2 bottles of Tequila

  24 bottles of white wine

  6 bottles of red wine

  All liquor and wine should be top shelf good quality or whatever is specified,

  Sat, 26 Sep — Presentation of Foxhounds at Hardens Bluff (Stirrup Cup beforehand; Members with Colors invited to hunt afterwards)

  The Stirrup Cup will be at 9:00-9:30; "Presentation of Foxhounds" maybe 9:10-9:30. Then Staff will Hunt Hardens and Dogham at 9:30.  Tentatively "Ratcatcher Attire", but it's possible that we could decide to go formal for the presentation, and then excuse jackets, assuming it might be hot.   Details are TBD.

  Come join us in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere to learn about the wonderful world of foxhunting. Learn the things you need to enjoy a safe day of hunting, expose your horse to the elements of the hunt and hounds, and ride our beautiful countryside in a mock hunt. All are welcome mounted or unmounted. Car followers and auditors very welcome.

  Clinician Merri Musso MFH, professional horsewoman instructor/trainer, has many years of experience in the hunt field. She will tune up you and your horse for the upcoming season. There will be two flights W/T/C jump and W/T

   Attire: Casual, Neat Appearance, Safety Helmet

  PAH Newcomers Day

  The "Newcomers Day Hunt" will be held Saturday October 10th, 9a.m. at the PAH kennels.  The kennels are located at 12200 Tylers Mill Road, Charles City VA.

  For those attending the Hunt Clinic, please contact the Masters so we know you want to attend.  

  For any members guest, also please seek approval from the Masters.  

  Send your completed waivers and negative Coggins to Hunt Secretary Vanessa Roselli

  Attire: Riding attire will be "Polo Shirt Attire".   Safety Helmet, long or short sleeve collared shirt (not red), riding britches and long boots.  English riding tack preferred.  Ratcatcher is always welcome. 

  Breakfast will be Potluck, please bring your favorite dish to share.

  Start Times between 9am and 12:30 pm

  Join us for a wonderful day riding in historic countryside. 

  RSVP Deadline is Wednesday, October 22 at 8pm, and limited to 24 Teams.

  Course will be approximately 7 miles marked from start to finish.

  Series Awards:

  This is a qualifying event for the VA Hunter Pace series.

  Points will be accumulated for each division - the series winners of each division will receive a year-end award.

  Attire:

  Safety helmets are required. Otherwise, whatever makes you comfortable.

   Lunch and Beverages

   A champagne stop will be provided halfway through the hunter pace, as well as a lunch with light sandwiches, fruits, and assorted hors d'oeuvres as appropriate, waters, sodas, and assorted beverages at the trailers.

  *Please be considerate of our land and do not clean out your trailers at parking. All jumps are optional and can be gone around.Notify course personnel of any damage to jumps or trails you encounter while on course.

  No individual entries accepted, please enter as a team or collective group. Please select a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd preference for start time.

  Guest Riders: please contact PAH Masters for permission to ride, and have Waiver prepared to send to Hunt Secretary with Negative Coggins information and cap fee.  VA State Hunting License required.
